A Great Way to Sync and Share your Android Apps

If you’re new to Android or are thinking about switching over to an Android device, you’re going to really like this service. It’s called AppBrain. It basically allows you to sync, manage, and share your favorite Android Apps right from your browser. Why is this cool? Because with AppBrain, you get to see the apps that people actually like and use! Which is a good starting point for anyone looking for quality apps.

Getting Started with AppBrain

It’s actually pretty simple. To get started, check out http://www.AppBrain.com

  1. First things first. You need to sign in using your Google Account.
  2. Once you’ve signed in, as a new user, you’ll get to choose a Username.
  3. Then, you’ll need to download and install the free app “AppBrain Market Sync” on your Android phone.

You can either download it by going to http://www.appbrain.com/install from your Android phone, or you can scan the QR Code that’s on the install page.

Here are some apps being used by people you might recognize. The first set of apps is from Gina Trapani of Smarterware.org and has also written about AppBrain. The second person is Leo Laporte, the host of TWIG on the TWIT network.

Sidenote: The widgets are pretty cool too.

What do you think?

Is it useful? Do you like it? Does it solve a problem or make your life easier?
